Extra Help - 1B (2nd semester)

There are 8 portfolios in Computing for College & Careers 1B. Here is extra help for each!

1. Unit 1 Introduction and Lesson 8 Extra Help

  • LESSON 1: SHORT REQUIRED SCREENCAST (click and watch)

  • LESSON 8:

    • Watch this SHORT SCREENCAST (one minute) about setting up a Weebly site. You will be glad you did! For this website, you will create a portfolio demonstrating your technology skills and innovative ideas that you could possibly share in a future interview with a prospective employer or college admissions counselor.

    • Watch another SHORT SCREENCAST (about 1.5 minutes) about seting up your FREE domain name.
      • Take a look at my web address for UCA: https://jsimonson7.wixsite.com/mrssimonson. I was able to chose that I wanted my address to end with /mrssimonson, but I was not able to have www.mrssimonson.com for free, for example. Chose the best web address you can for free!

      • Your portfolio assignment is to create a website using Weebly. You are welcome to use Wix if you prefer! My teacher website was created using Wix, but Weebly is just as good and easy to use. Make sure you have a consistent topic throughout your site, include images, and that all of your links work!

    • Throughout this course, you will be adding web pages to this website portfolio to help showcase your talents and interests.
