Pacing Guide

Grade Recovery: You should always do your best work first, but if you find you earn a grade on a portfolio that you don't like, you may resubmit up to one time each. I also accept test corrections.

  • Unit 1 - Fundamentals of Business

    • Lesson 9: SAMPLE WORK

      • For this assignment, you will be watching a Ted Talk by Professor Porter regarding business in the community, and how business might be able to help solve social problems. You will then thoughtfully answer some questions, the answers to which will be submitted for your Sample Work. Don't forget to watch the Ted Talk, or the questions and answers will not make sense!

    • Lesson 10: PORTFOLIO

      • Watch this SHORT SCREENCAST prior to starting this assignment.

      • Keep in mind that what you create in this portfolio will be built on in future assignments. In other words, not only should you do your best, but you should keep this assignment saved to your computer with a logical name in a logical location. I always recommend that my students set up a file for each class, but that is up to you!

  • Unit 2 - Classifications and Types of Businesses

    • Lesson 9: SAMPLE WORK

      • In this assignment, you will be addressing the supply chain as it relates to creating candy bars! You can use whatever software you prefer for this, but I have created a template in Google Slides if you don't wish to create something from scratch.

      • Don't forget that your supply chain visual should include a graphic or image for each step along the way as well as text boxes with descriptions and explanations of each step.

    • Lesson 10: PORTFOLIO

      • In this lesson, you are building on the business your portfolio addressed in Unit 1. I have created a Google Slide Template if you don't want to create your document from scratch!

        • Make sure you read through the assignment requirements before getting started!

        • See me in In n Out Office Hours, or call/text/webmail, with any questions!

  • Unit 3 - Economics of Business (Part 1)

    • Lesson 11: PORTFOLIO

      • REQUIRED: Please watch this VERY SHORT SCREENCAST prior to getting started with this assignment.

      • As usual, I have created a template to help you format this assignment so you can just focus on the information! Feel free to use it if you like!
